Logline

When a teenager in love expects a fun night with her boyfriend, she winds up on an emotional roller coaster that only friendship can save.

Synopsis

Fast Food is a coming-of-age dramedy that explores the power of friendship in the face of young love and heartbreak. The film follows Vanessa, a teenager expecting a fun two-month anniversary date with her rapper boyfriend, Ryan—only for the night to spiral in unexpected ways. As emotions escalate, her best friend Amy steps in, grounding her before things go too far.

Why This Story

I wanted to explore a tone that leans into humor while still holding emotional truth. Fast Food lives in the small, specific moments that feel all-consuming during those teenage years. The awkwardness, the excitement, the heartbreak, and the way it can all shift in a single night.

At the center of it is friendship. The kind that shows up without hesitation, brings perspective, and grounds you when everything feels bigger than it is. That dynamic felt just as important as the relationship at the heart of the story.

This film reflects a side of my voice that is playful, character-driven, and rooted in everyday experiences. It is a reminder that humor and honesty can exist in the same space, and that those lighter moments often carry just as much weight.
